KUIMS Medical Center (Seoul, South Korea)

KUIMS is an accredited, multidisciplinary medical centre at the Kyung Hee University, which is one of the the 10 best clinics of South Korea.  There are 800 inpatient rooms for the patients, who receiving treatment in more than 30 departments. KUIMS is equipped with a modern diagnostic base, the latest equipment for various treatments within one medical centre. Every year more than 500 000 patients are treated in KUIMS. Cancer Center

Rapid ARC

Medical Centre KUIMS is one of the first medical institutions in Asia, where Rapid ARC system with a visual control technology for radiation therapy is used. Rapid ARC provides the most accurate treatment much faster than other machines. The treatment session, which earlier took  15-30 minutes, can be performed for a single vehicle turnover around the patient for 2 minutes. In this way, the patient can be treated in a shorter period of time. The powerful and versatile Rapid ARC system is used to treat patients in different states. KUIMS is one of the pioneers in South Korea and Asia who have successfully used this advanced technology to fight against oncology diseases.

PET-CT

The PET-CT scanner was recently upgraded at the KUIMS Medical Centre. The Time-of-Flight technology of Philips Astonish TF improves the quality of the image, especially for patients with large body masses, and improves the effectiveness of the survey. PET-CT provides an opportunity to conduct a quick scan with a variety of configuration sets.

Diagnostic Centre

KUIMS Medical Centre offers extensive diagnostic programmes (basic examination, women's health, digestive system, premium programmes, cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, pediatric examination, VIP examination: there are 1 night (2 days), which are aimed at the rapid and qualitative conduct of the complex examination of the whole body, as well as a specialized examination, aimed at identifying certain problems and diagnosing a specific disease (Integrated Programme "Digestive system").

It specializes in the treatment of angina, myocardial infarction, hypertension, peripheral vascular and arterial diseases, diseases of vascular vessels, varicose vein diseases, cardiac surgery, arteriovenous fistula, stenting procedure;

Respiratory Pathology Centre

 There are the following departments:   pulmonology, thoracic surgery. This centre specializes in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, lung cancer, tuberculosis, respiratory deficiency, chronic cough;

Digestive Pathology Centre

There are the following departments: gastroenterology, general surgery. It specializes in the treatment of common diseases of the digestive system, digestive cancer, liver disease, hepatitis, constipation, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, liver transplant. Dr. Suk Hwang Lee is a specialist in surgery for diseases of the digestive system.

Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre

There are the following  departments: endocrinology, general surgery. This centre specializes in the treatment of thyroid disorders, thyroid cancer (Radioiodine Therapy Programme in Seoul), diabetes, endocrine disorders, menopause, pituitary disorders, adrenal glands, obesity.

Women's Health Centre
