Raffles Hospital is a highly technical medical center and the flagship of the Raffles Medical Group, a leading private healthcare provider in Singapore and Asia. Raffles Hospital is JCI-accredited since 2008. JCI is an international organization for evaluating the level of medical institutions, created by the non-profit organization JCAHO (Joint Commission on accreditation of medical institutions in the United States), which defines international standards. JCI ratings enjoy the most confidence. To get JCI accreditation medical centers must pass a detailed test of quality of patient care, taking into account the entire treatment process from the moment the patient is admitted to the hospital. Raffles Hospital is a specialized hospital located in the heart of Singapore. Raffles Hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, family medicine services, health screening and a wide range of multi-disciplinary specialist clinics. It is equipped with beautifully appointed wards, day surgery, angiography suites, delivery suites, operating theatres, intensive care unit, and neonatal intensive care unit. It also has its own radiology, clinical laboratory, pharmacy, dietetics, rehabilitation and Traditional Chinese Medicine departments. Raffles Hospital offers a full range of medical and diagnostic services in more than 40 medical specialties. In 12 specialized clinics patients can get medical care in all major medical specialties: obstetrics and gynecology, diagnostics, hepatology, cardiology, otoloringology, oncology, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, urology. New building of Raffles Hospital On January 22, 2018, the new building of Raffles Hospital was opened. The height of the new building is about 100 meters. The new building is an excellent platform for the next 10 years to expand the clinic and the range of services provided to patients at Raffles Hospital. The project for the new building of Raffles Hospital received the Green Mark Platinum award as an environmentally safe and energy-efficient building. On the 17th floor there is a green recreation area where meetings and events are held.
Specialized centers and the diagnostic radiology unit are located in the new biulding. The total area of the new building is 20349 m2, and the cost of its construction was 310 million dollars.
Raffles Hospital is created as a multi-specialty medical facility where a group approach is used in the treatment and care of patients.
The new building is connected to the old building of Raffles Hospital by passageways on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th floors. Over time, the buildings will have passageways on each floor (from 1 to 13). In addition, a new street, the Victoria Link, has been added to the new building, leading to the main entrance to the building and the entrance to the Parking lot from Victoria Street and North Bridge Road. The New Building also has 90 Parking spaces. Outpatient clinics in various branches of medicine are located in the new building.
